AION 2 pets list and pet system

• Pets are companions that follow you, can turn into mounts you ride, and give conveniences such as picking up loot for you. Source: AION 2 global site, About: Pet (Oct 15, 2026 (read)).
• Pet auto loot is something you activate: after the Oct 8 EU outage, NCSOFT gave 1 extra day of it only to players who had it active on the affected servers. Source: October 8 EU Service Outage Compensation (Oct 8, 2026).
• The Halloween event (from the Oct 14 maintenance) hands out 10,000 Pet Soul Crystals in the Special Halloween Chest and 20 Growth Pet Chests in the Red Candy. Source: Patch Notes | Oct. 13 (PDT) / Oct. 14 (CEST) (Oct 14, 2026).

• Week 3 of the community screenshot event, Oct 19 to 25, has pets as its theme. Source: Community Launch Events Overview (Sep 30, 2026).

NCSOFT's pages do not say how each pet is earned in the open world or what stats a pet gives; the player reports below are the only sources we found for that.

• Pet level, pet collection level, collection rewards, Genus Crystals and Genus Insight are all listed as transferred.
• Pets and Genus Crystals are combined with what you already have on the destination server and removed from the old one, so characters you leave behind can no longer use them.
• For Genus Insight you choose which server's progress to keep; the other server's progress is reset either way.
• A Special Pet bought in the Shop that you already own on the destination server stays only there, and you get a Pet Reward Ticket. With that ticket you can ask Customer Support for a refund of the origin server's purchase until the regular maintenance on Nov 24 (PST) / Nov 25 (CET).
• A duplicate pet bought in the Pass Shop is refunded in Pass Coins.

Whether your character can move at all, and when, is answered by the AION 2 server transfer checker.

• According to r/Aion2 thread "The Pet system is super satisfying" (several commenters) (Oct 8, 2026): You get a pet by defeating that kind of monster until you reach a threshold, and every pet can be ridden.
• According to r/Aion2 thread "Pet System" (one commenter) (Oct 3, 2026): All pets give the same stats; thresholds at 5, 25 and 75 raise them, and Genus bonuses stay active once earned.
• According to r/Aion2 thread on Genus Insight (Oct 11, 2026): Maxing every Genus Insight to 10 gives a title worth +4.5% PvE damage, +34 Attack and +68 Critical Hit, and Genus Insight counts per account, not per character.
• According to r/Aion2 comment in "Are Spacetime Rifts required for progression?" (Oct 12, 2026): Twelve pets can only be farmed in the other faction's zone, which you reach through a Spacetime Rift.

Rift opening times for Europe and the Asia servers are on the AION 2 Spacetime Rift timer, for anyone farming pets in the other faction's zone.

The 207 names and creature types in the tool are copied from the questlog.gg pet database (6 pages, read Oct 15, 2026): Feral 65, Nature 48, Transformation 46, Intellect 41, Special 7. We found no second database with a full list, so the count is questlog's, not NCSOFT's. Seven of the nine pets NCSOFT names appear on it with the same spelling.

Korean server posts on Inven describe the same five types for Genus Insight, but a reposted list of global-versus-Korea differences says the global Genus Insight levels and options differ. That list has one unnamed author, so Korean pet guides are not used here.
