AION 2 rift schedule by region
Opening hours on each region's server clock, checked Oct 15, 2026. The timer converts them to your time zone.
| Region | Portal opens (server clock) | Portal / rift | Sources |
|---|---|---|---|
| Europe | 02:00, 05:00, 08:00, 11:00, 14:00, 17:00, 20:00, 23:00 (Central European time) | 10 min / 1 h | aion2timers.com and questlog.gg |
| Asia (Japan servers) | 02:00, 05:00, 08:00, 11:00, 14:00, 17:00, 20:00, 23:00 (Tokyo time) | 10 min / 1 h | aion2timers.com and questlog.gg |
| North America (East and West) | Not covered | – | One fan site only |
| Latin America | Not covered | – | One fan site only |
Why North America and Latin America are missing
- North America (East and West): Only aion2timers.com gives a North America schedule; questlog.gg's rift timer has no North America option, and NCSOFT has published none. One fan site is not enough for us to show a countdown.
- Latin America: Only aion2timers.com lists it (as SA); no second source and no NCSOFT schedule.
Before you rely on any fan timer for those regions, check the in-game countdown once. If NCSOFT publishes a schedule or a second source confirms one, the region will be added here.
What the Spacetime Rift is, per NCSOFT
NCSOFT's server notices list the Spacetime Rift with the Abyss as a mode where you meet the other faction, and the opponents come from the server your server is paired with (see [Notice] New Server and Matchmaking Information). The server transfer notices add that remaining rift time moves with your character and that you cannot apply for a transfer while inside a rift. Which server you are paired with is on the AION 2 servers page.
On the Korean and Taiwanese version the rift opened every 4 hours at launch and every 3 hours, at the same eight hours, since the Dec 3, 2025 update, according to Korean guides on Inven and the AION2 KINA site quoting the Taiwanese notice. The global rule above is the same cycle.
Where the rift times come from
- aion2timers.com: Portals open every 3 hours at 02:00, 05:00, 08:00, 11:00, 14:00, 17:00, 20:00 and 23:00 server time; the entry portal stays open about 10 minutes and the rift lasts up to 1 hour; level 45 and up. Europe runs on Central European time, Japan on Tokyo time.
- questlog.gg: A rift opens every 3 hours, its event runs for an hour, and the portal stays open for the first 10 minutes. Its Europe and Asia timers show the same next openings as aion2timers.com.
On Oct 15, 2026, both sites showed the same next openings: 14:00 Central European summer time for Europe and 20:00 Tokyo time for the Asia servers. aion2timers.com says its times follow daylight-saving changes; neither site says how it confirmed the rule for global, and NCSOFT has not. Europe's clocks go back an hour on Oct 25, 2026; this timer keeps the server hours on Central European time across that change, as aion2timers.com does.
AION 2 rift timer questions
When does the Spacetime Rift open in AION 2?
On Europe and the Asia (Japan) servers, every 3 hours at 02:00, 05:00, 08:00, 11:00, 14:00, 17:00, 20:00 and 23:00 server time, according to two fan timer sites, aion2timers.com and questlog.gg, which agree. Europe's server clock is Central European time and Japan's is Tokyo time. NCSOFT has not published a schedule for the global version.
How long is the AION 2 rift portal open?
Both fan timer sites say the entry portal stays open for about 10 minutes and the rift itself lasts up to 1 hour. If you arrive after the portal closes, you wait for the next opening 3 hours later.
Is there an official AION 2 rift timer?
Not for the global version as of Oct 15, 2026. NCSOFT's notices on Steam describe the Spacetime Rift as a cross-faction mode and mention rift time in the server transfer rules, but give no opening times. The Korean and Taiwanese version moved to a 3-hour cycle with its Dec 3, 2025 update, according to Korean guides on Inven and a site quoting the Taiwanese notice.
What is the AION 2 rift timer for NA?
This page does not show North America or Latin America. Only one fan site, aion2timers.com, gives a schedule for them; questlog.gg's timer has no North America option. We show a region only when two independent sources agree.
What level do you need for the AION 2 Spacetime Rift?
aion2timers.com says level 45 or higher; Korean guides on Inven give the same level for the Korean server. NCSOFT has not stated it for global.
